Project Manager

Job Overview
The Project Manager manages the projects from the office and field. They are required to understand the basic practices of ordering materials, equipment, & working with the Field Foremen to organize field personnel. Project Managers are expected to utilize a combination of skills and experience to understand cost accounting and job-related percentage of competition reports.

Reports To
The Project Manager will report to the VP/President of the Mechanical Division

What Success Looks Like
A successful Project Manager is responsible for the following outcomes:

  • Completing Projects on time and on Budget
  • Managing the day to day functions of a project
  • Communication between Schwenn field Foremen and the Clients management staff
  • Assisting in the Schwenn office administration staff pertaining to the projects assigned to them
  • Advocating the Schwenn Company’s Vision of being our clients preferred and most desirable choice for their mechanical, electrical and plumbing service needs.

The Project Manager is the team leader when it comes to project at Schwenn. This position is critical to the success of a job that is completed on time and of the highest quality.
Always in the assist mode to help those around them. This position is critical to the current and future success of the completion of current projects and those in the future.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Managing the success and completion of all jobs assigned to them
  • Coordinate with client staff and office to meet their needs and expectations
  • Manage the cost account of the projects they are managing
  • Job buyouts and communication with suppliers, subcontractors & Engineers as required to meet job expectations
  • Proficient in Job submittals, organizing job files and timely billings every month

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 Years Project Manager experience
  • Able and willing to work in a team environment
  • Able to demonstrate and understand Plans and Specification
  • Able to demonstrate the understanding percentage of competition reports, job costing reports, permitting applications, and project schedules
  • Able to clearly communicate with management, coworkers and customers
  • Self-motivator is a must
  • Pass a Drug Test
