Apprentice
Job Overview
The Apprentice is responsible for assisting their Superior, have a clear understanding of what they are being asked to do and maintain a positive attitude. Apprentice Electricians are expected to learn the concepts being shown to them and utilize their personal experience to perform assigned work.
Reports To
The Apprentice will report to their assigned Supervisor
What Success Looks Like
A successful Apprentice is responsible for the following outcomes:
- Utilize the direction give to them to complete the assigned task
- Maintaining a high level of workmanship
- Making their assigned Superior aware of any potential issues
- Attend Trade School
- Reporting to work timely and consistently
- Completing and returning paperwork in a neat, orderly and timely manner.
- Learn the different types of material they are using and why they are using them
- Advocating the Schwenn Company’s Vision of being our clients preferred and most desirable choice for their mechanical, electrical and plumbing service needs.

The Apprentice is one of the key components for success Schwenn. This position provides support to assist their Superiors. The Apprentice position is critical to the current and future success of the Companies and the Team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Learn the concepts of why things are installed in a certain way
- Learn the different types of material used
- Take direction from their assigned Superior
- Keep work area organized
- Work as a team with supervisors and coworkers to execute work as efficiently and to the highest standard possible
- Maintain the required personal tool list
- Utilize safe work practices
- Attend company sponsored training
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of technical experience or educational equivalent
- Clean driving record
- Have reliable transportation
- Able and willing to work in a team environment
- Eager to learn and be continually educated
- Able to pass a drug test
- Able to clearly communicate with management, coworkers and customers
