Job Overview
The Duct mechanic manages the job site and makes sure that all field personnel has materials and direction for their work day. Duct Mechanics are expected to utilize a combination of skills and experience to perform work necessary to maximize the functionality of our customer’s projects and minimize downtime and maintain construction schedules

Reports To
The Duct Mechanic will report to the Field Foremen

What Success Looks Like
A successful Duct Mechanic is responsible for the following outcomes:

• Showing up on time and ready to work and have work scheduled for other Schwenn employees
• Have the proper tools that are trade specific
• Completing and returning time cards in a neat, orderly and timely manner
• Having a clean and safe working area
• Advocating the Schwenn Company’s Vision of being our clients preferred and most desirable choice for their mechanical, electrical and plumbing service needs.

How this position fits on the Team
The Duct Mechanic is one of the primary engines of work at Schwenn. This position is critical to the success of a job that’s completed on time and of the highest quality.
Always in the assist mode to help those around them. This position is critical to the current and future success of the completion of current projects and those in the future.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Make sure all employees have their work scheduled for the day
• Coordinate with the site GC “superintendent” to achieve critical areas to be completed first
• Manage job site safety for ALL Schwenn employees. Ie… Hard hats, Safety glasses, gloves & any job specific safety material as required
• Work in a safe manner and beware of your surroundings
• Understand and execute job drawings and specifications

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Able and willing to work in a team environment
• Eager to learn and be continually educated
• Able to pass a drug test
• Able to clearly communicate with management, coworkers and customers
